The ethos of social enterprise is 'we can do it ourselves' and Covid-19 brought that into focus on a wider scale. a lot of this work happens under the surface and the impact of community support is rarely measured. This was an opportunity to tell the story of how social enterprise lifted Glasgow through a crisis. I worked with a local photographer, Daniel Cook, to capture this work. I interviewed the people who run, work and volunteer for these organisations and divided the response to Covid into themes:
Feeding a city | Promoting well-being | Glasgow: a cycling city | Breaking down borders | Moments to reflect | Highlighting inequalities | Technology and social enterprises Collaborations, cooperation and networks | Volunteering the pandemicGlasgow’s Social Enterprise Network | Glasgow’s Social Enterprise Network
